The Y Journey
Women have always told me their stories. Not the ones they post, the quiet ones. The moments that came with no ceremony and no witness.
The day she learned to swim at 38.
The year that finally ended.
The trip she stopped postponing.
The night her mother said she was proud.
The first time she felt like herself again.
None of these moments came with jewellery.
Jewellery came with weddings, festivals, anniversaries: days chosen for us, celebrated by everyone.
Not these. These were hers alone.
So I started Y Jewelry to give those moments something to hold.
I chose silver because silver doesn't stay in the locker. It goes to work with you, to dinner, to the school gate. I created a base that lasts and charms you add one at a time, each one made to hold a moment that's yours. Your bracelet is never finished, because neither are you.
As Creative Director, every piece begins with me: the idea, the form, the feeling it should carry. Then I went looking for the hands to make them. That search took me to the silver markets of Thailand. I spent days walking through narrow lanes of workshops, watching silversmiths shape metal with skills passed down through generations. The weight of their pieces, the patience in every finish, the quiet pride in their work: I knew these were the hands I wanted to bring my vision to life. Today, every piece is made and finished by hand, then polished and checked before it reaches you.
But the closer I looked, the more I understood what new silver costs. Every gram mined takes something from the earth that it doesn't get back. I didn't want to make pieces meant to last a lifetime by taking more than we needed.
So I made one rule: we work only with silver that already exists. Every Y Jewelry piece is made from 100% recycled 925 sterling silver, and no newly mined silver goes into anything we make. We polish with plant-based, biodegradable compounds instead of harsh solvents.
Created by me, made by hand, and given meaning by you. That's Y Jewelry.
Every piece is made to be worn every day, and to stay with you for years.
